New Exhibition in NYC

The Yok & Sheryo have a new duo show at Krause gallery in Lower East Side Manhattan. They have just come back from travels from South East Asia and have work created in a ceramic factory in Northern Vietnam and canvases from their home studio in Brooklyn.

THE YOK X SHERYO

The Yok and Sheryo are two Brooklyn based artists who created this unique mural in December 2012 on the streets of
Fremantle in Western Australia (a town renowned for it's rich history/culture and its amazing 'fish and chips').
This project was made possible through John Butler and his amazing arts funding initiative known as 'The Seed Fund'.

this happen.I worked as a volunteer art teacher in 2 schools for 2 weeks. It was great fun,
the kids had a blast and alot were super talented with great ideas.

Hello,

I'm planning a trip to Mae Sot which is on the Thai/Burma border to do volunteer work for 2 weeks in December, for
The Little Lotus Project, run by Spinning Top. I will be painting with children who have been forced by the oppressive
military regime to flee their homeland of Burma.

I will be working on a variety of art workshops with the children, access to education and art supplies is a luxury
for these children and all funds raised from Little Lotus will go towards their ongoing welfare and education.

I'm asking for some help to generate some monies via a donation. This money will help get me to Mae Sot,
cover art materials and help to fund the children's education.

Help Support this RAD project for the kids in Burma/Thailand
The charity SpinningTop is launching the Little Lotus Project 2011 this December and taking twelve talented artists from across the globe to the Thai/Burma border to work with and inspire refugee and migrant children who have fled from the instability of Burma. Filmmaker Gareth Moon from Nektar Films, who has worked on projects such as Bacardi Brazil OE, Fly My Pretties, Shapeshifter and more, will be documenting the project along with US filmmaker, Daniel Zana, the creator of 'The Vinyl Frontier'. Videos will be produced and distributed across various media channels to further promote the project. These twelve talented artists are fundraising their own way to the Thai/Burma border for this year's project after being inspired to get involved after the success of the first Little Lotus Project. They are a talented international crew from New Zealand, Cambodia, Singapore and the US.
